Ted is from Peoria, Illinois, an industrial town in the U.S. Midwest where corn belt meets the rust belt. He completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University where he earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. While in his undergrad, he obtained a varied experience contributing to research in ISU’s Polymer Composites Research Lab, and having internships for Caterpillar Inc and Doosan Equipment. Ted is excited to be in Vancouver to contribute to the Renewable Resources Lab, and also looks forward to becoming more familiar with the UBC community. His passions are reading, climbing, good food and music.
