Peter Lister is the Vice President of Forest Products and Wood Products at FPInnovations in Vancouver, Canada.

Before joining Forintek for the first time in 1993, Peter worked as Sawing Projects Engineer for Weyerhaeuser’s sawmill in Grande Prairie, Alberta. From 1993 to 1997 he worked as a Research Scientist in the Wood Machining Group at Forintek where he developed the Video Tooth Inspector®, a highly advanced machine vision system for measuring saw tooth geometry.

From 1997 to 2002, Peter was Product Development Manager at CAE Machinery Ltd. (now Carmanah Design and Manufacturing Inc.), a manufacturer of chippers, debarkers and flakers for the OSB industry. He rejoined Forintek in 2002 and was responsible for the successful start-up and operation of the new CT Imaging Centre. He later worked as Business and Technical Services Manager before taking on his present role.

Peter has a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Engineer. He lives with his wife and two young children in North Vancouver, B.C.
